Hobart Hartz Mountains National Park has wide variety of vegetation ranging from eucalypt forest to rainforest. In this park you can find waterfalls, glacier lakes and other landscapes. This national park is also home for many endangered species and birds like echidnas, platypus Bennetts wallabies, Tasmanian pademelons brushtail possums and other species. This extremely popular park is about 84 kms from the southwest of the Hobart
city. If you are not able to find the way you can seek help from the forest
and heritage center at Geeveston. The road to the park is windy, steep and sometimes
remains closed because of snowfall.
