Syrup Hobart
A restaurant serving great foods n desserts during the day, Knopwood's Retreat at night metamorphoses into Hobart's popular nightclub Syrup where party lovers in Hobart head to spice up their nights. Once you get there, don't be confused by the Knopwood's Retreat pub. Just climb upstairs and you'll be in Syrup's nightclub zone.

Syrup has a most fascinating setting. It is set in one of the age-old sandstone warehouses lining the historical Salamanca Place. The room is L-shaped with a traditional wooden floor. Once the clock strikes twelve at night, the entire wooden floor transforms into a scintillating nightclub. There is also a pool table round the corner of the room, for the pool players.

Hobart nightclub Syrup hosts some of the biggest musical events in Australia. During the Ministry of Sound's big Australian tour in 2003, Syrup was one of the venues chosen. Syrup also hosted the Dealers, the popular blues n rock band during their First Offence tour in 2005.

Address: 39 Salamanca Place
Hobart 7000

Timing: Around midnight every day, the restaurant makes way for the nightclub.
