The Salamanca Market is a native open market that takes place on Saturdays
in the South of Hobart, Salamanca Place. The market remains open from 8.30am to
3pm. There are plenty of stalls that display various aboriginal artifacts, flowers,
fruits, vegetables and much more that make the place all colorful and buzzing
with life. The market was initiated in 1972 with only 10 stalls and since then
it has evolved into one of Hobart's most popular tourist destinations. Today there
