Located on the Macquarie Street in south Hobart, Le Provencal Restaurant
has the typical chic French look. The food served by them is delicious and the
Chef Jean Claude Rival had his formal training right from Paris. The restaurant
has three dining rooms and each has a different décor. If you step into
this place for some French flavors, do order an Eye Fillet with Bearnaise sauce,
a hot duck plate with brioche and the lip smacking cream caramel. The price range
is affordable and the food comes in generous quantities. The Le Provencal Restaurant
opens 7pm to 10pm from Tuesday to Saturday. There are plenty of beautiful oil
paintings of Peter Gouldthorpe.
You can start with Entrees and carry on to the lovely desserts and they come
within a range $10 to $25. Bring your own wine bottle to add some extra taste
to you dinner menu. You can make your payment either by cash or by credit cards.
The accepted credit cards are MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, American Express,
Bankcard and EFTPOS. The Le Provincial Restaurant is also open to celebration
of private events but in that case you have to make an advance booking for your
group. The restaurant has 65 seats. There is special smoking zone in this restaurant
and you may as well take a car with yourself for there is ample of parking facilities.
There is no take away or home delivery system in this restaurant so you have
to step in to Le Provincial Restaurant to taste some provincial French food
as well as well as some Middle Eastern and African delicacies. You can assure
yourself that the food; the ambience and the décor will prove to be worth
your visit.
