Her Majesty Theatre, popularly known as HMT boasts the Maj Cafe & Bar which is a preferred meeting spot for artists performing at the theatre. Come to the Maj which cherishes a great ambience and welcoming employees to take care of you. This café and bar is open for breakfast six days a week, lunch weekdays and for Friday night drinks from 4pm. Moreover, it is open whenever there is a show in the theatre hall.

From historical point of view, Her Majesty's Theatre is significant because it is the conventional home of musical comedy in Melbourne. Its achievement was consequent of more than one hundred musicals played since 1934, with a line-up to match any other theatre in the world. In addition to it, the theatre is noteworthy for its relations with artists such as Dame Nellie Melba, Anna Pavlova, Eduard Borovansky and Joan Sutherland.

According to the social point of view, Her Majesty's Theatre is of significance for its long-lasting role in the theatrical life of Victoria.

Her Majesty's Theatre is also architecturally significant. This is one of the initial models of the European Moderne style existing in an Australian theatre center. The styling was important for indicating the innumerable Moderne style cinemas which reproduced in the later 1930s.

This theatre is also technologically significant as the first theatre to employ an audio advisor. Outstanding acoustics were attained by the wide use of veneered ply wall shield. The theatre seems to be the first to offer air conditioning for a huge interior in Victoria.
