Como House, Melbourne, an iconic colonial mansion, was built by Barrister Edward Eyre Williams in 1847, 12 years after the first settlement in the Port Phillip district. It graces five acres of historic gardens on the banks of the Yarra River. The house was named after Lake Como in Italy. It has been home for 95 years to the Armytage family, who were prominent members of Melbourne society, and has become a part of the history of Melbourne and one of the most famous of the various Melbourne tourist attractions.

For adults, it is $12; children $6.50; students $9 and for a family (two adults and two children), the entry fee is $30.
