The Newcastle Mater Misericordiae Hospital belongs to the Sisters of Mercy Singleton and is also associated with the Hunter Health. This hospital is the principal centre for oncology (cancer) services such as breast cancer screening, haematology, melanoma prevention, diagnosis and treatment in the Hunter region.
