International Film Festival showcases the powerhouse selection of international
works by known and not so known faces. The Revelation Perth International Film
Festival is the kind of encouragement independent film makers crave for. The
list of entries include individual works across all genres, formats and duration.
Barring all rules, the Revelation lists the primary criteria as spirit, however,
there is a minimalistic set of rules which entrants can easily follow.
The Revelation 2008 will be held from July 3-13, which will see a brand new
personification of the Revelation with a new venue and a new program director,
all amalgamating into a surprising array of new films at par with excellence
drawn from the international and independent arena. The year 2008 will see a
line up of international award winning masterpieces and Australian premiers,
including a bunch of documentaries, short features, experimental works and animation.
With the grand event getting closer and the horde of film buffs getting impatient,
the spirits seem to rising higher with the anticipation of unusual masterpieces
under a single roof called Revelation.
The Revelation has decided to shift to a new location, the Astor Cinema- Mount
Lawley's beautiful Deco establishment from 2008. The Astor is located in the
Mount Lawley and a short 5 minutes drive north of central Perth, with a galore
of restaurants and cafes so that you can take a short break and rejoin the hustle
and bustle of the Revelation. The festival venue allows the Revelation to concurrently
screen two films and provide ample scopes to catch with the international guests,
local film makers, and as well as the people behind Revelation.
