Swan Bells
Time ticks away merrily and yet it stands still at the Swan Bells, Perth in Australia. Swan Bells is one of the largest clock and bell collections in the world and is Western Australia's most visited landmark.

More About Swan Bells

Swan Bells has an interesting collection of watches and clocks all dating back to an era when time was not "digital" and life was not so fast-paced. There are also numerous bells and optical instruments from the days of yore displayed here.

However the crème la crème of the collection at the Perth Swan Bells is the Swan Bells itself. The Swan Bells is actually an assortment of twelve bells originally belonging to St. Martin-in-the-Fields, dating back to the 14th century.

The bells were once housed in one of the most prestigious churches of Trafalgar Square where it has heralded many a momentous event, the English victory over the Spanish Armada in 1588, the triumphant return of Captain James Cook after his discovery missions, being the most prominent ones. Swan Bells, Perth got this illustrious exhibit as a gift on Australia's bicentenary in 1988.

A time travel is what you need to pep up your sightseeing in Perth and the Swan Bells, Australia is the just the place to be for your tryst with time.
