Location: Perth is the capital of the Australian state of Western Australia. The metropolitan area of the city is situated in the south west of the continent between Indian Ocean and the Darling Range.
Transport: The Perth airport at the eastern end of the city deals with the national and international flights to and from the city. To move around in the city , trains, buses and ferries are equally active. The port of Freemantle at the mouth of the Swan river is the chief container and passenger harbor of the city.
Sites Of Attraction: Most of the city's attractions are a bit far away from the main city.
- The Monkey Mia Resort: This resort about 525 miles north of Perth in the Shark Bay Heritage area where the tourists flock in bunches to gather an experience of lifetime. - The Karijini National Park is one of the largest of its kind in Western Australia. With umpteen kinds of flora and fauna, this park in the Pilbara Region is famous for its sparkling rock pools, cascading waterfalls, incredible gorges and stupefying scenery.
- The wildflower region near Perth is nothing but Paradise. As far as your vision reaches the place is covered with series of white, pink and yellow daisies. The region has more than 800 species of flowering shrubs that mesmerizes the visitors.
- The Goldfields near Perth attracts tourists to have a glimpse of the remnants of the gold rush. Australia's biggest open cut mine the Super Pit is admirable.

Beaches: The Monkey Mia beach is one of the finest white sand beaches of Western Australia and swimming here is very pleasurable. The other unique beach is the Shell Beach that is full of shells up to stacks rising to 33ft high. The nearby houses of the shell beach are made of the shells found here. The Sunset coast beaches, and the Coogee beach are wonderful and have lots of recreational facilities.
Things to do: Swimming, bushwalking, windsurfing on the Swan River or the beaches, surfing, body surfing and scuba diving are the major activities done here.
Shopping: Apart from the duty free shops at the Freemantle port area the heart of the city's shopping is the Hay street and Murray Street Malls and the Forrest Chase Complex.
