Belvoir Street Theatre, Sydney was ideated by Sue Hill and Chris Westwood and finally took a concrete shape in the year 1984. The intellection fast gained many supporters and in one weekend, Chris Westwood and Sue Hill convinced fifty of their friends to invest $1000 for the deposit on the building, followed by a further 550 investors from the arts and entertainment industry who came on board in the next six months.
