The Wharf Theatre, Sydney is the home base of Sydney Theatre Company located at Pier 4/5, Hickson Road, Walsh Bay. There are two theatres at the Wharf in which performances are held - Wharf 1 and Wharf 2. Wharf 1 is conveniently located at the northern end near The Wharf Restaurant and is easily accessible by various modes of transportation. Facilities at Wharf Theatre, Sydney Staff Assisted Access at The Wharf In case mobility assistance of any kind is required at the Wharf, the same should be informed to the STC Box Office when booking your tickets so that prior arrangements could be made to provide for one of theatre's Front of House staff to assist you. A number of spaces are available for wheelchairs in each theatre. In case any guests have trouble climbing the stairs or walking long distances, wheelchair assistance can be provided to them on request for the same. Assisted Listening Devices To enable the "hearing impaired" theatre patrons to experience the best of the show, both Wharf 1 and Wharf 2 theatres provide an infrared hearing assistance system. However, it is requested that those wishing to use this facility should telephone theatre's Box Office on (61 2) 9250 1777 prior to their visit, as special seats are required. Disabled Facilities Disabled guest can use the special toilet facility available at the theatre, located at the northern end of The Wharf. Public Phone Those coming for the shows performed in the theatre can use the a public telephone and a free taxi phone located near the reception area. Mother's Room Nursing mothers or mothers carrying their babies can use the baby change facility located in the Disabled toilet/Parenting room. Seating Capacity Wharf 1 seats between 309 and 324 persons. Getting to Wharf Theatre, Sydney The strategic location of the Wharf Theatre, Sydney close to the Circular Quay makes it easily accessible by various modes of transportation be it trains, ferries or buses as all these have frequent services to Circular Quay. From there one has to walk only 20 minutes to reach the theatre. The best way to reach is to follow the harbor foreshore, walk past the Museum of Contemporary Art, leave behind the Park Hyatt hotel, cross from under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and turn around the corner - and there you can find the fabulous Wharf Theatre.
