In the year 1948, the Australian Reptile Park and Wildlife Sanctuary was built. It was established by Eric Worrell who was the first naturalist of Australia. This park is one of the major attractions of the country and is regarded as the only zoo that aims at preserving the animals. This sanctuary has a Venom- Milking program that save almost 300 lives every year. It supplies various venoms in the country that is used as snake and funnel-web anti-venom. The park has a collection of varied species of reptiles as can be understood by the title of the park. The most loved crocodile of this country, the Eric is founded here. Some of the huge reptiles such as American alligators, mammoth tortoises and great pythons are available. Along with the reptile, varieties of mammals are also found such as the koalas, the wombats, echidnas, the exclusive kangaroos, dingoes and Tasmanian Devils. Exotic trees are present in this park along with fragrant wild flowers. There also are several singing streams lulling the visitors to nostalgia. The birds collected in the Australian Reptile Park are awesome. This place is visited by the locals as well as by the tourists' from all over the world. One of the important attractions of this park is the Spider World. Electronic models of the most deadly spiders in Australia are collected in this region and are a great source of entertainment. You can also get into the mouth of a crocodile that is 20m long and unfold the mysteries of the world of reptiles. When you are hungry, you don't have to worry at all! The Hard Croc Café is present to serve mouth savoring food. A BBQ facility is also available here along with a gift shop comprising of useful and fancy products that are kept there for sale.
