The city of Sydney is proud to have a historical monument like Hordern House. The building was established n the 1960s. The Hordern House was taken over by the present owners in the year 1985 and then proper efforts were made to bring back the condition of the building to its earlier glory. The building at present has a spacious location and works are displayed in the Hordern House attracting people all over. The display items that you can have a look at in this building are old manuscripts, various books, varied paintings and prints. This building is an epitome of culture and heritage of the country and you get to know Australia at a close distance. The ground floor that comprises of the Book Room and the Picture Room can be visited by all. But the tours that are organized by the tour operators, cannot take the visitors to the upper floor which is the Sitting Room.
A major fact that has to be remembered by the visitors is that you cannot take snaps of the property displayed in the Hordern House. There are certain attractive areas nearby to the Hordern House that can also be visited. The world famous Bondi Beach as well as the Bronte Beach is located near to this building. The Kings Cross and the Tamarama Beach can also be visited as it is nearby to the location.
