The Sydney Opera House conducts thousands of different events and exhibitions every year. This place was officially inaugurated on the 20th of October 1973 by Queen Elizabeth II. Initially, the design that was created by Utzon was very difficult to implement as at that point of time, the engineering was not that developed to support it. However, later slight modifications were made and the result is the magnificent structure that one views today. The Sydney Opera House is located close to the harbour and it overlooks the Harbour Bridge.
There are numerous guided tours to the Sydney Opera House. It's a wonderful sight to view this incredible structure along with the blue waters of the ocean. The tours include a trip of the backstage which is generally used by artists performing on the stage. It allows one to go to places like the dressing rooms, orchestra's pit etc which otherwise are inaccessible to common people. The other tour is an entire tour of the house which includes all the theatres. This tour will allow one to understand the cultural aspect of Australia along with the architectural heritage of this place. Then there is another third type of tour which is conducted in foreign languages like Korean, Japanese, etc. This is also a tour of the house. There are performance packages available as well.
The Sydney opera house hosts different kinds of theater and musical programs. There are in total five different theaters in the Sydney Opera House. They are The Opera Theater, The Playhouse, The Concert Hall, The Studio Theater and The Drama Theater. Along with these there are another two main halls, six bars, four restaurants, and five rehearsals studious. There is also another hall known as the Utzon Room, named after its famous designer Jorn Utzon. This room was inaugurated in 2004.
The most stunning aspect of this structure is the roof of the Sydney Opera House which reminds one of ships in full sail. This place attracts approximately 200,000 people every
