About the Beach
Bilgola is one of the most beautiful beaches of Sydney and is encircled by bushes and rain forest areas. Parking facilities are available in this beach at the charge of a mere AUD 4 from Monday to Friday and AUD 8 for Saturday and Sunday along with other public holidays. This beach is frequented by the locals as well as by the tourists’ all over the world. The length of the pool is almost 50m and is a great site for swimming. The beach is patrolled by two beach inspectors. They are appointed from the school holidays that begin from September till the weekend of the Anzac Day at the end of the month of April. During the Non-Daylight Saving, the swimming hours are from 8am to 5pm. Similarly during the Daylight Saving, the time to get into the water is from 8am to 6pm. Some of the volunteer lifesavers are appointed during the weekends and the public holidays. But they are made to work only on the summer days when the crowd is comparatively more. One of the major attractions of the Bilgola Beach is lap swimming. There are a few rock pools that the people love. Small surfing is allowed in the Bilgola Beach along with certain wonderful kiosks.
