The Royal Easter Show, Sydney, is one of the greatest festivals here. If you want to see 3,000 head of livestock, a million people and a generous sprinkle of 21st century commercialism in one of the finest sporting and recreation venues you must come to this festival. It is the biggest yearly event of Australia and is popularly known as the Great Australian Muster. Organized by the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales annually at Easter time, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is more than a farm fair.

Time of the festival

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is normally starts from Friday of the week before Easter and runs for two weeks until the Thursday after Easter. Events begin from the early morning and generally end with an evening fireworks finale.

Venue of the Royal Easter Show, Sydney

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is held annually at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush Bay. But previously the Royal Easter Show used to be held at the old Sydney Showground at Moore Park in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. But since 1998 it has been held at the Olympic Park site at Homebush Bay. The former site at Moore Park have been changed into Fox Studios Australia and assorted development around the film production site known as The Entertainment Quarter.

Described by the organizers as 'the greatest show on earth', the Royal Easter Show, Sydney is an agricultural wonder and a shopper's paradise. The show exhibits huge displays of Australian farm produce which will simply make the spectator spell bound. It consists of an agricultural show, an amusement park and a state fair and combines the elements of each, showcasing the judging of livestock and produce.
