Australia - Adelaide - Brisbane - Alice Springs - Cairns - Canberra - Darwin - Gold Coast - Hobart - Melbourne - Newcastle - Perth - Port Douglas - Launceston - Sydney - Townsville
Sydney is the capital city of the Australian State of New South Wales. The city is located in the coastal region of the south eastern coast of Australia. Spring sets in from September to November, the summer seasons are from December to February, the autumn comes in from March to May and the winter months are from June to August. The city never experiences an extreme temperature as it is never too hot or too cold in any of the months. Towards the southern region of the city, the temperature gets cooler.

The city enjoys oceanic climate where the summers are warm and the winters are generally mild. Almost through all the year round rainfall is common and the temperature gets more extreme in the western suburbs in the interior. January is the warmest month and the temperature ranges from 18.6 °C-25.8 °C. The winter is also not extreme in Sydney and in the coastal areas the temperature may fall to a certain extent but not below 5 °C. July is considered as the coldest month in Sydney. Maximum rainfall occurs during the summers and sometimes during the winters too. Snowfall occurred in Sydney for the last time in 1930.

Sydney generally never faces earthquakes and cyclones. Certain regions that are located bordering the bush land area have sometimes faced the bush fires that occur in the spring and the summer months. On the contrary, Sydney often faces wind and hail storms.
The Macquarie University had recently conducted a research work and discovered that the land area in the region of western Sydney is responsible for the changes in weather in this city.

Sydney is a great city to visit and has several attractive places to visit. Sydney can be visited in winter without facing any climatic problem as such. Too many clothing is not required in this month and it is very comfortable visiting places around. Visiting during winter season is also quite cheap and the city is less crowded. Sydney can also be visited during summer but the sun can be too strong sometimes so precautions should be taken.

The weather conditions of Sydney are so favorable that it makes it a favorite destination point of people all over the world. Visiting Sydney in any time of the year makes it a memorable experience to the tourists'.
