FuManchu Restaurant Sydney
Australia - Adelaide - Brisbane - Alice Springs - Cairns - Canberra - Darwin - Gold Coast - Hobart - Melbourne - Newcastle - Perth - Port Douglas - Launceston - Sydney - Townsville
FuManchu is as well-organized and funky as it looks. The slick modern interior is centred around two slim communal tables with little red stools. This restaurant is not licensed and smoking is strictly prohibited inside the eatery.
The menu offers chiefly Chinese and South-East Asian cuisine and although it has nothing like the variety that is available in Chinatown, it does have fresh, tasty food and boasts free range eggs and corn fed chicken. It is fabulous for a quick bite—noodles come served with a variety of meats or vegetables.

However, apart from the dishes, what has been attracting local people as well as tourists to this Chinese restaurant is nothing but the outside view. In a word, it’s just splendid. The waiters may prove to be rude and obnoxious waiters pontificate between themselves over who had the best weekend, whilst customers are left to grow ever hungrier. The Roti dish (meaning bread) bares no resemblance to bread! The fusion between Chinese and South East Asian food is however nice. As for the food over here, they are overpriced! Doesn’t matter even if you are health conscious and like to avoid calories for Low Fat (Almost) Fried Rice is combined with leftover ham from New Year’s Day.
