The National Trust Heritage Center in Castling Street in Townsville is a collection of three heritage houses that are restored and furnished. The collection include Worker's Dwelling, built in 1878, The Currajong, a grand villa residence constructed in 1889, and The Farmhouse an example of an early house occupied by North Queensland farmers that was constructed in 1921. The heritage sites are located at 5 castling street, west end in Townsville. The historic Heritage Center displays three typical North Queensland Houses. They are a simple miners cottage built years back as residences. Each house is furnished in a style appropriate to it and is unique in its own way. The Heritage Center opens on Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm and on weekends from 1pm to 4 pm. The entry fee charged for adults is $ 6 and for children is $ 2 per child. The Heritage Center is facilitated with shops, toilets, wheelchair access and so on.
