Getting to Bahrain by Bus

The island nation of Bahrain is in the Persian Gulf. Bahrain is officially known as the kingdom of Bahrain. Bahrain has Saudi Arabia in the west and Qatar in the south. King Fahd Causeway serves as the link between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The Qatar Bahrain friendship bridge which is currently under planning process will join Bahrain to Qatar. When built, this Bridge will serve as the longest fixed link in the world. The major religion in Bahrain is Islam. The Islamic percentage is on a decline as there has been an influx of immigrants and other guest workers from non-Islamic countries. Most of the immigrations had been from Sri-Lanka, India and Philippines. Bahrain is well connected with all its major towns. Getting to Bahrain by bus and getting around Bahrain is convenient because of the decent bus service that link most of the major towns. Bus service links the town of Manama and Muharraq with almost all the other cities of the country.

You can embark on a luxury bus and go for the different sightseeing. There are various luxury buses that ply in-between the city of Bahrain. One can travel around the island at a reasonably cheap rate on private tourist buses or also by taxi. For those who are a little more adventurous, can always walk down as the streets are beautiful with wonderful lightings. Walking down the streets would be a pleasure. Most of the buses are deluxe luxury buses that come with soft cushion seats. Moreover the seats have adequate leg space for comfortable sitting. All the seats are push back and they can be leaned back sufficiently for a slumber. The roads have a huge traffic pressure between 7.30 and 8.30 am and also 1.30 to 2.30 pm. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the streets are traffic logged between 5 to 7 pm.
