In contemporary Thailand, influences of foreign forms of entertainment are quite visible. But still Thai lifestyle has not lost its connections with traditional forms of Thai entertainment. Till today bantering songs sung by villagers, classical Thai dance performances, game of takraw and temple fairs and traditional festivities are a very common sight. Truly speaking, these traditional entertainments form the core of Thai social events. And in some or the other way these have been given voice in the theatres of Bangkok, the beautiful city of Thailand. Of the various popular theatres, National Theater in Bangkok is one which deserves special mention. National Theater, Bangkok is located next to the National Museum on Na Phra That Road. In this elegant theatre of Bangkok, classical Thai dramas, Thai music bands and other types of international arts are performed with great intensity and fervor. These programs are held periodically here in the main auditorium of the building. Or else, sometimes these performances are carried out on the open air stage or small theatre. Not only this, special exhibition shows of classical Thai dance and music are also held in the National Theatre, Bangkok. Usually these shows take place on the last Friday and Saturday of each month. There are many standard and air conditioned buses which provide an easy access to National Theater, Bangkok. So reaching this theatre is not only easy but comfortable as well.
