There are many interesting places here that will take much of your time to survey. A list of these places is given below:
Angkor Wat is the most famous of them all. This temple was built by King Jayavardhan VII. It is one of the most famous temples in the world. This place was built during 12th century. There is a statue of Lord Vishnu here.
You can also visit the Bayon Temple in Siem Reap. It is inside Angkor Tom. There are many other temples inside this spacious Angkor Tom. This temple too was completed during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. In this temple you will see a combination of Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. There are different images of Bodhisattva here. Bodhisattva was the incarnation of Gautam Budhha.
Terrace of the Leper King too was built by King Jayavarman VII, in fact it was he who built most of the temple that you can see in Angkor Tom. This temple has images of mythological characters like Garuda and Kabandha, a giant.
Terrace of the Elephant is another interesting place in the Angkor Tom. King Jayavarman VII used to listen to meet his citizens here.
