Sports and recreation in Chengdu deserves a special mention in the description
of the beautiful hilly city of Chengdu. Chengdu, located in the southwest part
of China is the 5th most populated city of China and both sports and recreation
in Chengdu are very popular among its people.

Theaters and operas also provide recreation to the natives of Chengdu. Sichuan
opera is the most famous opera and major theaters are Jinjiang Theatre, Shudu
Theater, Sichuan Opera Theater etc. There are quite a few movie theaters also
in Chengdu showing both Chinese and Hollywood blockbusters.
Apart from all these there are several hotels, leisure resorts and luxury clubs
which also play significant role in the sports and recreation in Chengdu by
organizing different small game tournaments and by providing different facilities
for the recreation of the people of Chengdu.
