Mt Qingcheng

Mt. Qingcheng is divided roughly into two parts anterior Mt. Qingcheng and the posterior Mt. Qingcheng. The anterior is the main scenic area and covers an area of about 15 sq kms. The area boasts of natural beauty and numerous cultural relics and historic sites. Some of these include the Jianfu Palace, the Shangqing Palace, and the Tianshi Cave. From the foot of the mountain you can see the Laojun Pavilion which is located on the highest peak and has an elevation of about 1500 meters.
Once you start climbing the Mt. Qingcheng, you will come across the Jianfu Palace, which constructed during the rule of the Tang Dynasty. Today, there are two temples and three compounds that exist here surrounded by ancient lush vegetation. Adding more beauty to the environment is a lucid stream that winds its way in front of the palace. If you travel to the West for about a kilometer you will come across a wooden pavilion that protrudes between a profusion of trees and steep rocks.
Traveling further to the West will take you to the Tianshi Cave which is a major temple on Mt. Qingcheng. A stone statue in the style of Sui Dynasty stands here. There are three other buildings exist here and are also worth visiting which are the Palace, the Sanqing Palace and also the Huangdi Temple.

beauty and cultural relics and historic sites of Taoism that the area has to
offer. Mt. Qingcheng is open from 8AM to 5:50PM.
