On the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, the Moon Festival, China is celebrated. Also known as the Mid-autumn Festival, this is one of the most significant events of China. This is a romantic festival for the lovers to spend the nights together. Delicious moon cake with some wine is tasted while watching the full moon at night. Eating moon cake, while watching the full moon, is a customary part of the Moon Festival in China.

Legendary stories behind the origin of the festival say that Chang Er after flying the moon had stayed there forever. During the Moon Festival, she could be seen dancing on the moon.

During the Moon Festival families reunite to spend some happy moments together. The full moon is observed by the whole family together followed by their traditional custom of eating moon cakes, and singing moon poems. The whole world seems so perfect with the full moon in the night sky, the family gatherings, the cakes and wines, and the poems.
