Travel to China can be a rich and rewarding adventure. But there are certain do's and don't about China which a traveler has to keep in mind.
Do not pack narcotics, pornography, firearms, inflammatory political or evangelical literature and contraband while traveling to China as all these are absolutely forbidden.

Do not buy any antique item that date before 1975, as they cannot be legally exported. Every antique product is marked with a red wax seal indicating its authenticity that can be exported from China.
Items like Chinese medicine herbs and gold and silver articles required purchase receipts. The receipt can be demanded at the time of custom clearance while leaving China. Avoid purchasing articles made from rare wild animals' skin. All the prohibited items will be seized without giving any compensation.
Yellow Fever Certificate is mandatory for entering in China for the travelers coming from the infected areas.
Always boil water before use as China has a very high percentage of water pollution.
Do not photograph any military installations in China. Taking photographs of military is the prohibited under China's law system.
The free baggage allowance within In China is 20 kg for the economy class, 30 kg for the business class and 40 kg for the first class, plus limited carry-on luggage. Excess baggage charges are the responsibility of tourist.
