The Religion in China has undergone a significant change with the establishment of the rich history. The People's Republic of China is comprised of inhabitants belonging to the religion of Buddhism and Taoism. The Chinese residing in this area practices Buddhism, belonging to a different category that is popularly named as the Mahayana Buddhism. Apart from this, several minor ethnic groups are settled within this area, which are known as Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. Buddhism made its presence from the Indian Territory during the existence of Han dynasty.

Taoism, the folk religion of China, made its presence during the 142 C.E. The native's even resort to the spiritual ideas of Feng Shui, which can be seen witnessed in the local market areas, which are filled with Feng Shui items. One would even come across religions, which include reverence of ancestor, Chinese folk belief, shamanism and worship of deities. The concept of yin and yang, origin of heaven, astrological practices along with believe in the idea of geomancy is something quite significant of this place. Taoism believes in the prevailing concept of priests, monks and temples while Chinese exist with the Taoist set of rules along with indulging in worship at the Buddhist temples.
