Dalian International Beer Festival

Dalian is one of the most heavily developed industrial areas of China. Dalian boasts of a port which is turning out to be very crucial for growth of International trade. The city boasts of a number of popular sightseeing options which tourists from all over the world enjoy. The city also celebrates a number of popular festivals. The Spring Festival in Dalian held during the month of January and February are eagerly awaited events. Some of the other festivals which are celebrated with much pomp and grandeur are the International Fashion Festival, Acacia Festival, The Dalian Spring Fireworks Festival and the Dalian International Beer Festival.

Dalian International Beer Festival is an important event in the Dalian calendar. The festival is celebrated in the month of a July and the celebrations last for half a month. During the fortnight long festival numerous programs are held which mark the festivities. The annual event was first hosted by Beijing in 1999. The festival has been based in Dalian since 2002.

The Dalian International Beer Festival is held every year on Xinghai Square every year. It can be called a summer festival. A number of programs are held to mark this International Beer Festival. The opening ceremony of the festival usually begins with a parade that features dancing groups and festooned vehicles. The parade is actually very colourful and very amusing to look at.

The International Beer Festival in Dalian is the place where a number of beer companies advertise their latest products by sponsoring different programs such as disco performances, exhibitions related to beer culture, beer drinking contests, photography contests, artwork displays and various other festival events. The Dalian International Beer is large celebration for the locals as well as foreigners. A large turnout can be seen on all days of the festival.
