Dalian Weather

Dalian is one of the major cities in China. The city of Dalian is the naval gateway of East China, North China, and north-east China. The city of Dalian is located to the south of Liaodong peninsula and along the eastern coast of Eurasia. The presence of sea, islands and mountains play a significant role in shaping the Dalian weather and other climatic conditions. The city of Dalian is situated to the east of Bohai Sea and to the west of the Yellow Sea, which is also known as the Korea Bay.

The Dalian weather is primarily on the moderate side. In the North Hemisphere, Dalian falls in the zone which is moderately tempered. The climate is characterized by a typical nautical climate. One of the main characteristics of this Dalian climate is that it is influenced by temperate continental monsoon climate. Dalian is a city that is mainly set among mountains. Chang Baishan Mountain system's Qianshan Mountain range, which stretches from north to south, plays a key role in shaping the weather pattern of the city. All the four seasons make their presence felt. The weather here is neither gets too hot during the summers nor is too cold in the winters. The average temperature usually hovers around 10.5°C.

There is a real dearth of plain lands, and the city is home to numerous hills and mountains. Most of the region is donned by rough mountains. The topography of Dalian bears clear indication of sea erosion. The terrain of the city tends to be broader on the north, and as you walk down to the south, it gets lower and narrower. During the year, the city of Dalian receives a rainfall of about 550 millimeters to 950 millimeters. Dalian weather is mostly sunny. The Sun is out for about 2500 to 2800 hours around the year.
