Tigers Sculpture Square sprawls over an area of 15,700 square meters or 4 acres. Unlike other traditional squares, the design of the Tigers Sculpture Square is not circular. The square boasts of an irregular shape, which is symbol of the Laohutan Ocean Park. The square was designed and created by the renowned Chinese painter and sculptor - Mr. Han Meilin and he took around two years and nine months to complete the work. The sculpted tigers of the square are the highlights of the square; they are 35.5-meter-long, 6.5-meter-high and 6.5-meter-wide. All the tiger statues look toward the east and are different in shapes and sizes.
Polar Region Marine Animals World is another key attraction of the Laohutan Scenic Park. The place is home to a wide variety of animals that include beluga whales, sea otters, sea elephants, duckers, dolphins, penguins, polar bears and more. Polar Region Marine Animals World boasts of a performance hall that can accommodate up to 2,000 spectators. From the performance hall you can see animal stars give brilliant performance daily, for instance you can witness gentle beluga kissing people or the exuberant acrobatic display of the dolphins.
