Transportation in Dalian

Gone are the days when transportation used to be a major problem. In earlier days, to get around different parts of a country would take several days. Slow paced trams may seem to be a misfit in the fast modern cities. However trams have not lost their importance and are often the best way to get around a city. Tram service in Dalian is efficient. Running along high sloped streets, the trams are reasonably fast. If you are a native of San Francisco, trams will surely make you feel at home. Generally average speed trams cost around 1 Yuan but if you are in a hurry, you can avail faster trams at 2 Yuan.

Taxi service as a means of transportation in Dalian is easily available. The drivers are friendly but very few know English. Therefore, it is advisable to know Chinese destination names before you board one.
