According to mythology and to commemorate the victory of the Chinese over an evil, firecrackers are burst all night. During this time the whole city gets painted in red. Colorful processions and fireworks display all through the night should not be missed at any cost.

When to go to Dalian would not be complete before referring to the Christmas day celebration. Christmas is widely celebrated all across Dalian. You would say wow looking at beautifully decorated Christmas trees. The whole town during this festival feels like garlanded with light.
