Chen Clan Academy Temple in Guangzhou in China was built between 1890 and 1894 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It was constructed with contributions made by the members of the Chen family living in 72 counties of Guangdong province. After its construction the temple housed Chen family candidates preparing for imperial examinations. Thus it was also called Chen Clan Academy. This ancestral temple of the Chen family is the largest, best maintained and embellished ancient structure in Guangdong province. In 1986 it was recognized as a significant cultural relic. The building now operates as an academy of fine arts. Features of Chen Clan Academy Temple in Guangzhou:

- Covering an area of 15000 square meters, the temple embraces a rectangular main building and constitutes of six courtyards, nine main halls, and nineteen buildings.
- Built in traditional Guangdong style, the temple is renowned for its beautiful designs and patterns.
- Wood carving, brick carving, pottery carving, stone carving, lime carving, clay sculpture, ash sculpture, brass and cast iron, grotto, new year painting display historical characters, legends and scenes from the past.
- A center of Guangdong Folk Arts and Crafts and historical preserves, the temple is now a major attraction amongst tourists.
