- The mausoleum is housed in the museum which is also called the Museum of the - Western Han Dynasty of the Southern Yue King's Tomb.
- It was constructed by one of the generals after the downfall of the Qin Dynasty to found the "Yue" kingdom and made Guangzhou his capital.
- Discovered in 1983 the museum is known as the mausoleum of King of Southern Yue. The burial chamber is kept at its original place and a museum was constructed over it.
