Situated on Jiefang North Road, King of Southern Yue Mausoleum in Guangzhou is a major attraction on sightseeing tours in the city. The cenotaph of King of Southern Yue is located within the museum. The tomb was kept at its original site and a museum was built over it. The museum comprises of a secured area of the tomb of King of Southern Yue, the principal exhibition tower and a comprehensive tower. It is one of the oldest tombs in China which is the best preserved and maintained. Features of King of Southern Yue Mausoleum in Guangzhou:

- Apart from the burial chamber, you can catch amazing sights of 1000 forms of invaluable cultural relics excavated from the 2000 year old underground palace. - The relics bear testimony to the lifestyle, culture and foreign influences during that time.
- The mausoleum is housed in the museum which is also called the Museum of the - Western Han Dynasty of the Southern Yue King's Tomb.
- It was constructed by one of the generals after the downfall of the Qin Dynasty to found the "Yue" kingdom and made Guangzhou his capital.
- Discovered in 1983 the museum is known as the mausoleum of King of Southern Yue. The burial chamber is kept at its original place and a museum was constructed over it.
- The Mausoleum was unearthed 20 m deep into the hill.
