The Thousand Islands Lake presents a marvelous scene of 1,078 green islands in a wide expanse of water.This ecological marvel at the backyard of the Changjiang Delta was created by immense human ingenuity and it is currently one of the largest foreign parks in China. You can take a boat and float tranquilly amongst the beautiful islands.

The Thousand Islands Lake Stone Forest is the largest stone forest of East China and one of the largest in China also. The place is strewn with tall rock formations in various incredible shapes.

How to Get There

If you are driving, you can tour the various tourist attractions an en route to the Thousand Islands Lake in Chun an, Hangzhou.Ancient Longmen Mountain, Daqi Mountain of Tonglu, Celestial Bell Mountain and a host of other Hangzhou tourist attractions beckon you as you travel.This is a 164 km trip and takes about 2.5 hours only.

If you are taking a car, get on to the No 320 National Highway to reach Chun an. Alternatively take a bus from Hangzhou West Bus Station. Buses are available from 6 am to 6:50 pm every half an hour. The trip by bus takes about 3 hours.
