Shanghai City is an important cosmopolitan hub in the Peoples Republic of China. The city has a rich history and tradition. The Renmin Guangchang or the Peoples Park is located in the vast People's Square area of Shanghai. The park is truly urban and it features manicured greenery. The park is a comfortable place to spend an afternoon. You could roam around breathing the fresh air and admiring the pigeons. You could gain entry to the Peoples Park from the northern half of the square. You would need to buy a ticket worth 2 yuan which is roughly 25 US cents.
The park is surrounded by a number of attractions. These attractions are not inside the park and include a 320-square-meter water fountain, subway station and an underground shopping mall. At the center of the Peoples park lies the very impressive Shanghai Museum which is an architectural wonder. The park and the square attract a lot of people which makes it an ideal venue for people watching.
