Century Boulevard Shanghai

Situated on the banks of Yangtze River Delta in East China, Shanghai is the largest city of China. Besides being the industrial and commercial capital of the city, Shanghai is also the cultural hub of the country. The city boasts of numerous monuments and entertainment options and is one of the hottest tourist destinations of China. Century Boulevard, which is China's first landscape boulevard, is one of the popular tourist attractions of the city. It extends from Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the west to the Century Park in the east.

Century Boulevard covers an area of 5 kilometers; the width of the boulevard is 100 meters, which includes31 meters wide 6 fast and 2 slow double-direction lanes. The boulevard also boasts of 6 meters wide auxiliary roads on both sides. Belts of greenery separate the main lanes and the auxiliary road. The design of the boulevard is unique; its design is dissymmetrical with8 rest gardens on the north side of the pedestrian. Two sculpture squares, which are located in the west Laoshao road and the intersection of Yanggao road, further enhance the look of the boulevard. The Century Boulevard also boasts of entertainment junctions, art gallery and many other features to entertain and inform the visitors.

In the near future there are plans to further develop the boulevard. Authorities of the boulevard are planning to incorporate two office towers, a hotel, a retail mall and public transport facilities in the Century Boulevard.
