Lu Xun Memorial, Shanghai is one of the major landmarks of the city. The Lu Xun Memorial is situated in the Lu Xun Park, which also houses the tomb of the Chinese literary master. The entire memorial functions in the manner of a modern museum and boasts of a floor space of 4683 square meter. The memorial boasts of a basement and two floors. The basement of the memorial houses cultural souvenirs and the first floor features the generally hosts Zhaohua library and guest halls and at the same time are used for theme exhibitions, academic lectures. The second floor is home to an exhibition of the life of Mr. Lu Xun.

The site of the memorial was the Hongkou Park, which was primarily a foreigner's park that was opened to the Chinese people in the year 1928. Later on the park was named after one of the best known twentieth century Chinese writers, Lu Xun, who lived nearby the park from 1927 till his death.

If you visit the second floor of the memorial, you will get to see many books and old photographs of the prolific writer. Besides these, the floor also houses things used by Lu Xun, which includes his hat, goatskin gown, and death mask.
