Bars and pubs are generally shielded from the outside world by walls. Defying this convention the Windows Café and Pub in Shanghai has glass windows all over. In fact there is so much glass that you would like to term it as a glass house. Sitting at a table you could watch the outside world, comment at the changing weather as well as keep an eye over your parked car. Located in a quiet alley and sandwiched between the old Russian exhibition centre and the JC Mandarin Hotel, Windows Café and Pub has a small interior. This place is the favorite hang out for Africans and local people. The ambience of the pub is very homely. This pub is very cheap with beer costing only around 25 Yuan. Though you would not get champagne or costly French wines, the bar serves regular stuffs like vodka, whisky and gin. You can order cocktails too at an approximate cost of only 40 Yuan. The Windows Cafe & Pub, Shanghai does not serve food but your favorite dishes can be ordered from the neighboring restaurants. The café remains open from 6 pm to 2 am. This tiny café gets very crowded during the happy hour that lasts from 6 to 8:30 pm.
