The Futian district of Shenzhen where the Litchi Park is situated is a pleasant park of an urban built which is composed of several pretty pavilions and landscaped gardens. Here is a magical, beautiful botanic world which has a wide collection of more than 40 genuses and about 30 species of plants including perennials, bulbs, woody plants, foliage plants, ornamental plants, ferns and cocoa plants. This is also the site where you can locate the protective plant – spiny tree-fern.

Along with the beauty of China’s art of gardening, and potted landscape, here you can appreciate the magical charms of nature. If you want to escape the traffic, this is one place where you ought to be. Lanterns are lit during the New Year when the place looks especially attractive. When viewed from the Litchi Pavilion, the visitors’ eyes are encountered by strings of dark red litchi in bunches of dark green leaves.

Scenic spots here include the ‘Areca in Sunset’, ‘Fragrant Snow in Litchi Park’, ‘Tranquil Bamboo Forest’, ‘One Wood Forest’, ‘Long View on Crane Pavilion’, ‘Rock Shadow under the Moon’ and the ‘Friendship Garden between China and Japan’. Treasured by the upper reaches of the government and supported by its subsidiary units, the Litchi Park was founded in 1989, and has contributed to the growth of the litchi industry in China.
