The Shiyan Lake and Hot Springs Village Club – a 3-star hotel – is located behind the Shiyan Reservoir. Out of the total area of 4 sq. kilometers, some is covered by lakes, buildings and lush vegetation. Here is the renowned Yulu Hot Spring which contributes to the splendor of the resort. It is designed in a pleasant blend of Spanish structures, abstract sculptures and marvelous natural beauty, which explains why it is called ‘paradise on earth’. The guest rooms include both villa-styled rooms and standard suits (380 in number) which are luxuriously furnished with color television, air conditioner and refrigerators. Food and beverage facilities include: a Cantonese restaurant, a western restaurant and a wide range of western restaurants which can accommodate 700. A coffee shop serves Chinese and western cuisine, hot/cold drinks and snacks. There are large and small conference rooms too accommodating almost 300 people. The Yulu Hot Spring has remained for almost 1000 years as a sulphur spring running out mineral water containing chemical elements like lithium, iodine and bornon. Bathing in the spring waters is good for various skin diseases and rheumatism helps one recover from fatigue at the same time enjoying a spring bath everyday.
