Sport & Recreation in Xian

The city of Xian which is located on the Southern Coast is famous for its marathon which started way back in the nineties and it has been growing ever since and it has slowly picked up pace and momentum. There are a few tours associated with marathon as their popularity is soaring the number of tours are also on the increase.
Golf is another sport which is gaining popularity mainly due to the universal nature of the sport.
The fact that there are a large number of good golf places around Xian has really added a thrust to the sport which has been constantly gaining popularity in China.

Today it has the second most number of golf courses in Asia and four more countries in the world have more number of courses than in China. The country has got a tournament sanctioned by the European tour and with two hundred golf courses already in place and more than thousand are in the pipeline.
