Since the resettlement of the 1960s the Nubian population faced a major thereat that severely shook their culture and traditional ways of living. It is the benevolence of the Social Development Fund that loans are being granted to youths to promote different micro projects. This is an active step that is helping much to eradicate the unemployment issue in the region. The main projects included are the local handicrafts, beads crafts; palm leaves decorative pieces, table cloth productions, needle works and furniture.
