White Desert, Egypt

Located about 45 km north of Farafra, is a rare gem of attraction in Egypt- White Desert. Also known as Wadi Gazar or Valley of Carrots due to the formation of appearances similar to pinnacles because of the wind eroded limestone, White Desert is truly white in nature and color.

White Desert can be easily accessible from the Farafra Oasis and Bahariyya Oasis. Located 45 km from White Desert is the smallest and peaceful oasis of Egypt known as Farafra.

The Farafra Oasis is the smallest oasis among the Western Oases of Egypt and is located near to latitude 27.06 North and longitude 27.97 East. As a part of Libyan Desert, Farafra is located between Dakhla and Bahariya Oasis. One can visit the hot springs of Bir Setta and the ethnic lake view at El-Mufid Lake, situated near to Farafra.
