Climate
Egypt climate is generally dry and hot in most of the parts and humid in the
Delta region. Rainfall is scanty.
Demography
Egypt has a total area of 1,001,449 km populated by around 79 million people.
90% of the total populations are the adherents of Islam while the remaining
has majority of Coptic Christianity. Apart from the religion division people
are divided demographically into urban and rural dwellers. Vast ethnic groups
populate Egypt, and majority is of Egyptians.
Historical Heritage
Most of the Egypt's monuments are open for the public for a fixed time period
set by Egyptian Antiquities Office (EAO). Museums are generally open from 9
am to 5 pm daily and from 9 am to 4 pm on Friday. Other sites are also open
for the same hours.
Business
If you are interested in doing business in Egypt then you have to know about
certain things. In comparison to other Egyptian, Egyptian businessmen and government
employees, particularly those in the high positions are more conservative. In
addition to this business meetings are usually quite and formal.

Banks: 8:30 am to 2:00 pm (except Friday, Saturday and most holidays).
Government offices: 8 am to 3 pm (except Friday and holidays).
Shops: 10 am to 9 pm in winter and 9am to 10pm in summer. Most of the shops
are closed on Sunday.
