Popular local bands such as Te Vaka and Black Rose performed in front of capacity crowd in the National Stadium of Suva. Drawing a lot of inspiration from the tribal music, the music played by Te Vaka band is powerful yet warm and earthly. The log drums that this band uses as the main instrument emits sound resembling that of the waves in the South Pacific Ocean. Apart from the traditional Fijian music, the other bands also dished out other genres like reggae and all.
