And Suva records an average winter temperature of 20 degree Celsius.

Fiji climate has distinctive dry and wet zones in the main island. The south-east part basically forms the wet zone. Suva receives an average annual precipitation of about 385 cm. The city of Lautoka usually records an annual downpour of about 191 cm. The humidity is the main reason behind this sort of rainfall. It is advisable that tourists take light woolen clothes for the nights and the early parts of the mornings of May to October.
