Yasawa Islands in Fiji

Fiji is an enchanting island nation of South Pacific Ocean and lies east of Vanuatu, west of Tonga and to the south of Tuvalu. There are around 322 islands and 522 islets in Fiji. The Yasawa Islands in Fiji is one of the best known and most popular islands in Fiji.

The Yasawa Islands in Fiji consists of a group of volcanic islands that have steep mountains and gorgeous beaches. The Yasawa Island Group stretches in the form of a thin long chain from the Waya Island in the south to the Yasawa Islands that lie 80 kilometers to the north. There is rarely a few miles between each island and they are so close to each other that at times it is even possible to wade to the neighboring island at low tide. There is an amazing collection of beaches in this beautiful Fijian island. The Yasawa Island is a long, narrow and flat island that has coastal cliffs and fabulous beaches to its west. There are limestone caves on the Sawa-i-Lau which is a popular place for swimming.There is the Yasawa Island Resort that offers fine accommodation for the tourists visiting the place. The beach front of the resort stretches over a kilometer thereby giving ample spaces for the guests to move around and explore. There is a large number of fishing villages including the famous Teci Village.
