The first Rugby League World Cup was held in France in 1954. Britain defeated France in the final. This match was held at the Parc des Princes, Paris, in front of strong 30,000 spectators.

Stade Sebastien Charlety is a stadium in Paris, France. Thus stadium is currently used mostly of the rugby league matches. The capacity of the stadium is currently 20,000 people. The stadium was opened in 1938. It has hosted many matches in various Rugby League World Cups.
Stade Bergeyre another rugby stadium was built in august 1918. Its capacity was approximately 15,000, and the name comes from the name of a French rugby player, who died in First World War.Bergeyre stadium was earlier used for soccer games. Track, field and various other activities (e.g. circus) also took place there. In 1924, several soccer games of the Olympic Games took place here. Sadly just two years later, it was demolished because the city of Paris was quickly growing and needed space for housing.
Stade Jean-Bouin stadium is in Paris, France. From 2006, it hosted the annual Paris Sevens event in the IRB Sevens World Series, but that event has since been discontinued. The stadium is able to hold 12,000 people. Its address is, 26 avenue du Général-Sarrail 75 016 PARIS.

Alexandre Pharamond (October 20, 1876 - May 4, 1953) was the captain of the French rugby union team in the early 20th century. He led the team to the Gold Medal in the 1900 Summer Olympics.
Julien Saubade (born 5 November 1983 in Bayonne) is a French rugby union footballer. He is currently playing for the Paris rugby club, Stade Français in the top level of French club rugby. His usual position is on the wing.
